Job Description Summary

Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) at GE Aerospace is focused at providing useful information about aircraft engines health condition and its components. The Aircraft Engines PHM Data Analyst engineer will be responsible in the creation of engine health management dashboards, analytics development, and exploratory data analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Learn about the GE Aerospace Commercial Engines PHM system architecture and flight data flow
  • Collaborate, learn and work with PHM stakeholders and experts for each engine PHM-related subsystem.
  • Collaborate with PHM stakeholders to develop engine health management dashboards with data visualization.
  • Work with internal/external customers to resolve PHM flight data quality issues within the PHM system architecture.
  • Learn to timely communicate data issues to both Technical Leadership and upper Management.
  • Present at technical reviews and document results from investigations, data analysis, dashboard development and analytics activities

Required Qualifications

  • University students (Mechatronics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Statistics or similar background).
  • Knowledgeable in programming skills in one of the following: Python, SQL, C, C++
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Disciplined, self-driven, shows initiative and is proactive
  • Problem-solving skills with guidance

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge on aircraft engines performance and operational parameters
  • Basic experience in prototyping analytic solutions for complex problems
  • Basic experience in data analysis, data engineering and data science
  • Basic experience using tools (i.e. Spotfire/Tableau) to develop interactive Data Dashboards and Dataiku
  • Basic experience on Object Oriented Programming (OOP) development.
  • Basic experience managing GitHub repositories.
