Business Function

Global Transaction Services (GTS) comprises Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services. As part of DBS' Institutional Banking Group (IBG), the GTS Cash Product Management team is responsible for the strategy, design and commercialisation of the Bank's cash and liquidity management and payments solutions for institutional clients across Asia.

DBS is investing in institutional digital asset infrastructure, leveraging its transaction banking franchise to explore tokenised assets, programmable money and blockchain-enabled settlement solutions. In 2024, DBS launched DBS Token Services, a blockchain-powered suite enabling programmable and 24/7 settlement capabilities through smart contracts integrated with the Bank’s existing transaction banking infrastructure. DBS Digital Exchange (DDEx), launched in 2020, provides an institutional-grade digital asset trading platform designed specifically for accredited and institutional investors. 

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive product manager who has proven experience in turning ideas into customer centric products. 

In this role, you will define the digital assets product roadmap for DBS GTS in Hong Kong, identify and assess business opportunities, and drive end-to-end commercialisation and product lifecycle delivery. You will navigate Hong Kong's evolving virtual asset regulatory landscape, manage a broad set of internal stakeholders across Technology, Compliance, Operations and Sales, and serve as the go-to contact within the team for digital assets education, thought leadership and product knowledge.

The role spans product management and delivery, governance and commercialisation activities that support the digital assets goals of the GTS business and build readiness for scale. Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Business Development

  • Identify and evaluate business opportunities in digital assets, stablecoins, tokenisation and institutional on/off-ramp solutions through client engagement, market intelligence and a deep understanding of Hong Kong's evolving Web3 and institutional digital asset ecosystem

  • Build business cases for new product initiatives — covering revenue modelling, cost-benefit analysis and strategic positioning — to drive investment decisions and prioritisation at the product committee level

  • Drive the commercialisation of blockchain payment rails, stablecoin-linked solutions, tokenised assets and institutional on/off-ramp capabilities

  • Monitor adoption trends, CBDC developments, and technology shifts to continuously refine product strategy and anticipate market needs

Product Design & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management — from ideation, opportunity assessment and market validation, through design, build, launch, go-to-market execution and ongoing commercial optimisation

  • Write PRDs on transaction flows, settlement mechanics, liquidity management, smart contract logic, wallet integrations and digital asset custody

  • Evaluate when to build, buy or partner — managing third-party relationships including DLT networks, custodians, licensed stablecoin issuers, fintechs and blockchain ecosystem participants through vendor assessment, due diligence and onboarding

  • Experience and knowledge on traditional payment infrastructure and market landscape, knowledge on blockchain technology will be a plus

Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Stay current on Hong Kong's virtual asset regulatory regime — translating developments into actionable products and risk implications

  • Prepare risk assessments, product approval processes and new product committee submissions throughout the product lifecycle

  • Serve as internal subject matter expert and educator on HK virtual asset regulation, digital asset governance and emerging CBDC developments

Commercialisation & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with GTS Sales and Relationship Management teams to develop compelling client propositions, pitch materials and structured solutions that drive revenue growth

  • Present product strategies, business cases and performance updates to senior management and relevant governance and product committees

  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Technology, Operations, Compliance, Treasury, Legal and Product teams to ensure shared ownership of outcomes and delivery milestones

Requirements

  • University degree holder with minimum 8 years of relevant experience in product management, transaction banking, payments, Web3 or digital assets within a regulated financial institution

  • Proven experience working as a product owner and demonstrated track record of managing the full product lifecycle — from ideation and business cases, through agile delivery, go-to-market execution and commercial optimisation

  • Strong in business writing and communication skills

  • Fluent in English and Cantonese, Mandarin is a plus

  • Strong in presentation and PowerPoint skills
