Leadership starts by understanding the details  and owning them. Be prepared to be active and immerse yourself in real time operations; much of your learning will happen directly on the shop floor rather than in an office setting.

Months 5–6: Step forward. Take the lead.

  • Staff development & training plans
  • Store audits & maintaining brand standards
  • Weekly scheduling based on sales projections
  • Monitoring sales KPIs and managing inventory

This rotation might require relocating to a different city if it considered beneficial for your development.

How to Get Hired at Fast Retailing Co. (Uniqlo)

  • Fast Retailing uses Workday as its ATS, with the careers portal at fastretailing.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com. Format your resume cleanly for Workday parsing — single-column layout, standard section headers, PDF format, no tables or graphics. Verify your parsed profile after submission.
  • UNIQLO is not a typical fast-fashion company. It positions itself as a 'technology company' focused on fabric innovation and functional design through its LifeWear philosophy. Understanding and articulating this distinction is critical for interviews — interviewers will test whether you grasp why UNIQLO exists and what makes it different from Zara or H&M.
