About the Role 

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Timekeeping Analyst to support critical payroll and timekeeping operations at our Boron site. This role plays a key part in ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with collective bargaining agreements, company policies, and California wage and hour laws.

Working in a highly regulated environment, the Timekeeping Analyst partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll Shared Services, Finance, IT, and front‑line leaders to execute timekeeping processes with precision and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer end‑to‑end timekeeping processes, including entering, reviewing, correcting, and submitting employee time data in accordance with established rules and payroll schedules
  • Maintain employee schedules including testing configurations to ensure accurate pay outcomes
  • Monitor timekeeping exceptions and payroll cutoffs, ensuring all corrections are completed within required deadlines
  • Investigate and resolve routine pay and time discrepancies; escalate complex issues to HR or Payroll as needed
  • Conduct regular audits (overtime, premiums, meal periods, and exception reporting) to identify errors, trends, or compliance gaps
  • Prepare and distribute standard reports & KPIs (labor, overtime, exceptions) to key stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and training to supervisors and employees on timecard entry, approvals, and scheduling practices
  • Support HR operations by providing backup coverage for HR Coordinator responsibilities as needed

This role ensures payroll accuracy, compliance, and employee confidence in pay, while minimizing risk and supporting seamless operations.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or a related area

Required Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of timekeeping processes and California wage and hour laws (including overtime, double time, and meal period premiums)
  • Experience with timekeeping and payroll systems (e.g., Kronos, SAP)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and review
  • Ability to follow established processes and apply rules consistently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and escalate when appropriate
