Job Title: Telecom Draftsman Oil & Gas

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Telecom Draftsman with experience in the Oil & Gas

industry to support the development of telecommunications systems engineering drawings. The ideal

candidate will work closely with senior telecom engineer and project teams to prepare accurate

technical drawings and documentation for telecom systems including fiber optic, radio, CCTV, PAGA,

telephone, and network systems, in accordance with project standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed telecommunication drawings (functional design specification, block

diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable routing layouts, equipment layouts, termination drawings,

panel layouts, manufacturing book).

• Update and maintain engineering drawings based on red lines, markups, and engineering

changes.

• Assist in developing and maintaining drawing registers and document control for telecom

systems.

• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure drawing consistency and

compliance with project requirements and industry standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, NEC).

• Support the development of as-built documentation for telecom systems.

• Ensure adherence to CAD standards, naming conventions, and version control.

• Coordinate with multidiscipline teams (electrical, instrumentation, civil) for interface

alignment.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Diploma or technical qualification in Drafting, Telecommunications, or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in the Oil & Gas or industrial sector, specifically in

telecom systems.

• Experience working with EPC contractors, system integrators, or O&G operators preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D optional).

• Familiarity with telecom systems used in Oil & Gas:

• Understanding of telecom installation details such as cable routing, cable trays, junction

boxes, earthing/bonding.

• Knowledge of coverage study software for telecom systems is a plusRole & responsibilities
