Technical Sales Manager - Food Solutions
Reports To: Commercial Director Blends – APAC
Functional Reporting: Dotted line into country organization for daily business integration
Key Objectives
- Promote Brenntag Food Solutions' position in the food market within ANZ
- Deliver Food Solutions Gross Profit (GP) sales according to growth plan.
- Promote the full existing Food Solutions portfolio across all food segments (Convenience, Meat, Beverage, Dairy, Ice Cream, Confectionery, Bakery & also support the Pet BD team).
- Build and manage Food Solution project pipeline aligned with regional GP growth targets.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Customers, Technical Teams, and Manufacturing to achieve business results.
- Become the single point of contact for any new identified project Food Solution Project, work with local & regional technical/applications teams for managing projects from identification to execution.
- Negotiate contracts, set pricing, and manage GP performance.
- Support process setup for Blends.
- Support APAC teams with supply of ANZ-developed solutions when required.

Scope of Responsibilities
- Act as the go-to person for local sales teams for Food Solutions requirements.
- Identify new customers, prospects, and opportunities; build and manage pipeline.
- Perform development trials at customer premises when required.
- Manage and optimize Food Solutions portfolio in coordination with APAC teams.
- Ensure timely and compliant documentation with support from Technical, Regulatory, and Quality teams.
- Prepare pricing offers aligned with raw material costs and margin expectations.
- Work with Demand Planner & Local Sales team for accurate volume forecasts for Food Solution
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape for existing and new identified areas
- Maintain updated project information for direct managed projects in CRM.
- Execute sales campaigns and participate in trade shows.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and promote company image.
Leadership & Relationship Management
- Develop strategic and operational relationships with key stakeholders.
- Develop strategic relationship with key raw materials suppliers for Food Solutions.
- Foster strong collaboration with APAC Food Solutions team and local sales organization.
Capability Profile & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology or Food Science.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Food Solutions or specialty ingredients sales.
- Dairy category experience (UHT, acidic/neutral pH systems, ice cream, stabilizer systems, emulsifiers) preferred.
- Knowledge of Bakery Enzyme Solutions preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities.
- Ability to analyze data and make sound business decisions.
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Salesforce/CRM, Qlik, Business Explorer.
