Technical Project Manager

Role Summary
This Technical Project Management Role is a senior program governance professional responsible for delivery transparency, execution rigor, and risk control across banking Engineering Product Releases. This role bridges technical execution and executive governance, by working with highly skilled Engineering and Product Teams, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with enterprise standards
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Your deliverables as a [Technical Project Management Role] will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Program & Portfolio Governance
Establish and run engineering PMO governance frameworks, including stage‑gates, milestone tracking, and dependency management.
Maintain integrated program plans, RAID logs, change control, and financial tracking across multiple initiatives.
Ensure alignment between product roadmaps, engineering capacity, and business priorities.
Delivery Tracking & Reporting
Provide accurate, executive‑ready reporting (status, risks, dependencies, financials).
Track and report on Engineering/Agile delivery metrics across teams without disrupting team autonomy.
Ensure transparency for SteerCo, CTO, CPO, and risk forums.
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
Proactively identify cross‑team technical and delivery risks.
Drive mitigation plans with clear ownership and timelines.
Manage inter‑program and cross‑platform dependencies.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Act as a single point of coordination across Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Security, and external partners.
Govern vendor execution against agreed milestones and quality expectations.
Behavioral Expectations
Acts as a trusted advisor to senior engineering and product leadership.
Drives outcomes through influence rather than authority.
Demonstrates strong ownership, decisiveness, and risk‑based thinking.
Balances Agile flexibility with enterprise governance needs.
Required Experience:
10–14 years of experience in Technical Project/Program Management / Engineering PMO roles in a Product Engineering team setup.
Strong understanding of software engineering, Agile delivery, and SDLC concepts. Preferred exposure to application of AI in SDLC processes as an added advantage.
Demonstrated experience managing large, complex banking technology programs.
Ability to use available AI tools with proficiency in Prompt Engineering and ability to derive insights from Data
Expertise in executive reporting, financial tracking, and governance cadence.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact.
Ability to build framework and toolkit around the Engg practices so we provide a professionalised and enterprise service across our delivery disciplines. Should be able to help industrialise but also provide data led capability across our ecosystem and our practices
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP / PgMP / PRINCE2 certifications.
Experience in regulated industries (Banking, Payments, FinTech).
Familiarity with Agile at scale and hybrid delivery models
