Technical Executive Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist
Welcomes and seats guests and receives and records payment of restaurant guest checks.
Responsibilities
- Greets restaurant guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Arranges for prompt seating of guests in order of arrival or availability of seating accommodations.
- Quotes accurate waiting times, and seats guests when tables are available.
- Assists in identifying casino comps, hotel and VIP guests for seating; communicates with comp authorizer (signer) regarding any comp charges by the compee.
- Maintains cleanliness of menus.
- Familiarizes self with hotel/casino so that accurate directions can be given to guests who inquire.
- Accepts responsibility for cash register bankroll, all cash received, charge card and complimentary receipts.
- Maintains the appropriate supplies needed for the proper performance of duties.
- Prepares multiple reports.
- Responds to telephone calls.
- Uses computerized cash register.
- Records and pays out tips to Wait Staff when the tips are charged to credit cards and guest rooms.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a cashier and/or host preferred
- Previous experience with accounting or heavy math preferred
- Literate and fluent in English
- Above average communication and guest service skills
- Accuracy in the handling of money
- Legible handwriting
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Finger dexterity to use a computerized cash register
- Ability to use repetitive motion
- Ability to grasp, hold, reach, bend, squat, push-pull, occasional use of a step stool, have hand-eye coordination
- Ability to constantly walk and stand during shift
- Mobility to move quickly and easily throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas
- Ability to hear and see
- Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy
environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
