Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the end-to-the-end tax compliance process for Funds, Corporate and Fringe Benefit returns, and Business Activity Statements.
Performs quarterly corporate tax provisions, and year-end tax provision.
Maintenance of Vanguard tax risk management and governance policies.
Partners with Fund Accounting/ Corporate Accounting to streamline and/or develop new processes.
Acts as a point of contact for tax-related queries, including putting forward a recommendation of resolution to the Tax Manager and taking the lead to resolve internal clients.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships across Vanguard and external suppliers to achieve mutually agreeable goals
Develops and keeps abreast of legislative and regulatory tax developments to support implementation of applicable changes and tax planning.
Skills:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent of experience and training.
Minimum of eight or more years of relevant tax experience
CA, CTA or CPA qualified.
Strong knowledge of Corporate Tax and the Funds Management industry (preferred)
Advanced in Microsoft Office.
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
