Job Purpose

This role will lead development, facilitation and execution of Production Readiness Onboarding (PRO) training for all new hire associates, contingents and contractors.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for identifying training needs and development of PRO training curriculum. Develops training and education materials and hands-on training processes at PRO sites.  Facilitate and execute efficient and effective training and onboarding of all new hire associates, contingents and contractors across HDMA
  • Coordination of PRO staff and resources, including Honda Retiree Contractors (HRC).  Ensure appropriate execution of training and orientation preparation.  Ensure classroom and hands-on training needs are met.  Support maintenance, operations and troubleshooting of process simulation equipment.  Support policy, conduct, and performance management
  • Identify current and future training and business needs for individual HDMA plants/departments. Collaborate with appropriate stake holders in business/training decision analysis. Lead the development and implementation of projects/themes related to countermeasure activity. Support projects/themes related to overall HR business plan activity
  • Collection and evaluation of PRO training metrics.  Conduct analysis and identify weaknesses to continuously improve training and metrics in collaboration with plant leaders
  • Evaluate and determine associate fit for manufacturing utilizing readiness assessment and participation in all PRO activities

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Education or equivalent years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2, ideally 4 years of manufacturing production experience, training experience or mix
  • 2 years of Production Management role experience
  • Good communication, presentation, leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office
