Infrastructure & Platform Services builds and runs the technology foundation for EA's games. Our teams deliver the live services and backend infrastructure that are used to ship, scale, and operate secure, reliable game experiences for millions of players worldwide.

The Software Engineer will report to the Engineering Director.

Responsibilities:

You will partner with product managers and architects to translate requirements into scalable backend services for commerce and identity platforms.
You will develop cloud-native APIs and microservices using modern technologies for high-scale transactional systems.
You will contribute to architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and system evolution projects with us to improve reliability and security.
You will use AI-assisted development tools and automation frameworks to increase engineering velocity and troubleshoot production issues for our global platforms.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience programming in Java or Python
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Experience building backend services or APIs with relational or NoSQL databases in cloud environments
Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$120,600 - $184,000 USD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
