Senior Erlang Engineer - Dunning Banking Servicing Engineering · Stockholm · Full-time · kr 55,206 SEK - kr 61,831 SEK Overview Application What you will do As a  you will design, build, and maintain highly scalable and resilient backend systems that power Klarna’s core payment infrastructure. You will work in cross-functional teams to solve complex distributed systems challenges, contributing to architecture decisions, implementation, and system reliability. You will take ownership of services end to end, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and performance in a real-time environment. You will also contribute to improving engineering practices, sharing knowledge, and driving continuous innovation across the organization. Who you are • Proven experience in software engineering with strong expertise in Erlang or Elixir • Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and fault-tolerant design • Experience building and maintaining scalable, high-availability systems in production environments • Experience in cloud AWSFamiliarity with APIs, messaging systems, and microservices architecture • Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code • Comfortable working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in complex systems • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English Awesome to have • Experience with OTP principles and Erlang/Elixir ecosystems • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes • Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and performance tuning in distributed systems • Experience in fintech, payments, or other high-availability environments • Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and performance tuning in distributed systems • Experience in Card Payment APIs Please include a CV in English Curious to learn more about Klarna and what it’s like to work here?
