Data Management & Governance, organised under Transformation & Data, is the implementation of enabling infrastructures, policies, practices and procedures that allow the organisation to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, execution, and enhancement of initiatives aimed at improving data quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Implement and support processes for data quality improvement, data cataloging, and metadata management.
- Support the development of standards, controls, procedures, and accountability frameworks for data governance implementation across various units.
- Assist in the development and implementation of AI governance policies and frameworks to ensure the ethical, safe, and compliant deployment of AI throughout the organization.
- Evaluate AI use cases and offer expert guidance to use-case teams regarding specific governance considerations.
- Engage with stakeholders across business and technology domains to cultivate a culture of responsible AI and provide recommendations on governance best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data governance or data risk-related roles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, Python and data visualization tools.
- Exceptional communication, strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Prior experience in data management, data risk, or similar relevant areas is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Comfortable and effective in cross-functional, collaborative work environments.
- Capable of working both independently and as an integral part of a team.
