About Your Workplace
Join Miele’s Finance team during an exciting period of transformation as we implement SAP S/4HANA. As a Senior Accountant (Contract), you will play a critical role in maintaining business continuity, supporting core accounting functions and contributing to system and process improvements. This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in change, enjoys problem-solving and values collaboration across a large organisation.
Your Responsibilities
- Financial reporting: support monthly and quarterly reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis
- Month-end close: perform reconciliations, accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Audit & compliance: assist with year-end statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance activities
- Inventory & fixed assets: support accounting, controls and reconciliations across inventory and fixed asset registers
- Systems & ERP support: contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation activities, testing and system improvements
- Process improvement: identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls and reporting timelines
- Business partnering: collaborate with stakeholders across the business to provide insights and support decision-making
What We Are Looking For
Must-have:
- CA/CPA qualification with post-qualified experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand accounting and tax requirements
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, S/4HANA, AS400 or similar)
- Exposure to system implementations or transformation projects
- Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability
