Why we're hiring:

The Cyber Security Metrics Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping & production of high‑quality executive reporting, operational insights, and performance metrics across a complex, global technology organisation. This role requires analytical capability, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership.

As a self-starter, this individual will proactively extract data from multiple operational security tooling, utilise report creation tools, and design comprehensive dashboards for leadership teams, ensuring clear, timely, and impactful communication of operational security metrics. Through effective stakeholder management, they will collaborate across teams to gather requirements, collect data, analyse data, present findings, and facilitate informed decision-making, ultimately enhancing our operational security effectiveness and resilience.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Production of daily, weekly and monthly KPIs and KRIs reporting within deadlines and ensure fast & accurate response to ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Development of insightful reports, robust performance dashboards, and support strategic decision‑making by simplifying complex information into concise, executive‑level messaging and presentations
  • Collect, analyse and present complex operational security metrics in a repeatable and where practicable an automated manner.
  • Simplify complex data into clear, concise key messages, ensuring leadership can make informed decisions quickly.
  • Build narrative-driven insights that explain trends, highlight emerging risks, and find opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate raw data into structured stories using charts, graphs, and visual representations aligned with executive expectations.
  • Bring flexibility and a positive attitude towards delivery of services in a fast-paced environment with inherent risks and multiple stakeholders with differing priorities
  • Maintain data accuracy through validation and quality checks and attention to detail
  • Seek opportunities to simplify reporting processes and automate recurring data preparation tasks

 

Who you'll be working with:

You will work closely with Enterprise Technology teams, Security Operations and Engineering teams as well as with stakeholders in Security across WPP.

 

What you'll need:

  • Experience in analytics, reporting, PMO, business operations, or data analysis within technology or similarly complex organisations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (ideally including Power Query, Pivot tables, Formulas)
  • Experience working with multiple data sources, report creation in Power BI
  • Computer Science Degree or equivalent desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working as a reporting analyst or data analyst within large and complex operational security change programmes
  • High degree of competency in using tools such as MS Excel, MS Power Automate, PowerPoint, Word and Jira and any other industry standard tools
  • Experience of business intelligence solutions to create data visualisations/dashboards to inform decision making (e.g. Power BI)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience producing executive-level presentations and concise messaging
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders and facilitating discussions based on data-driven insights
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capability. Able to simplify complex information at speed
  • Maintain attention to detail in generation and validation of reports, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all metrics to support reliable decision making and uncover critical trends
  • Automation of reports, significantly reducing manual effort and enhancement of timelines and frequency of data delivery
  • Demonstrate resilience and persistence and drive to maintain progress and resolve issues
