Job Description:
Note: This is a seasonal position at the Wegmans Organic Farm through October 2026, with opportunities for continued employment at a store location.
Wegmans Organic Farm & Orchard in Canandaigua, NY offers the opportunity to join a team passionate about sustainable agriculture and growing high-quality organic produce. As a seasonal worker, you'll work hands-on in the fields harvesting fruits and vegetables, helping bring fresh, local produce from farm to table while gaining valuable experience in agriculture.
What You’ll Do
- Plant, cultivate and harvest crops, including watering, composting, weeding, and applying organic sprays
- Drive/operate farm machinery when necessary
- Grade and package crops for marketing and selling within our stores
- Work effectively in a team-based environment, assist as necessary to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner
- Complete tasks timely without sacrificing quality
- Strictly adhere to food and human safety guidelines and procedures
- Perform work both outside in various weather conditions as well as indoors as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Agricultural experience or related coursework
- Experience working with agricultural equipment/tools
