About the role
Ventia are looking for an experienced and capable SCADA Engineer to join our team of legends on Kaikohe. In this senior technical role, you will be supporting and enhancing our automation and monitoring systems across the water and wastewater network. In this key technical role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain SCADA, telemetry, and control systems that keep our treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, and network assets operating safely and efficiently.
You’ll collaborate closely with operations, engineering, IT/OT, and field services teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions that ensure reliable service to our communities.
About you
• Electrical Trade or Electrical Engineering Certificate (Level 4)
• NZ Registered Electrician
• 5 years experience as a SCADA Engineer within the water, wastewater, or utilities sector
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC (Logix 500, Studio 5000, and Linx Classic)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical detail into operational clarity
• Strong grasp of water process control, pump control logic, alarms, and flow/pressure monitoring
• Full NZ Class 1 Drivers Licence
