Robotics Simulation Engineer (up to Staff level)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong programming skills in C++ and Python. Hands‑on experience with at least one major simulation tool (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Unity, or Unreal). Familiarity with ROS 2 and robotics development workflows. Experience with domain randomization and synthetic data generation. Knowledge of physics engines and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) or software‑in‑the‑loop (SIL) setups. Understanding of sim‑to‑real transfer techniques and performance benchmarking. HIL/SIL, scenario‑based safety testing, coverage metrics for autonomy stacks. Asset pipelines (USD/USDZ/FBX/GLTF), PBR rendering, RTX‑class ray‑tracing for photoreal sensors. Humanoid or mobile manipulation experience (MoveIt Task Constructor, whole‑body control, grasp/placement). RL/IL for robotics (Gymnasium, Isaac Lab, ManiSkill, or custom), including reward shaping and off‑policy evaluation. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. Build and maintain simulation environments for robotic platforms using industry‑standard tools. Model sensors (camera, LiDAR, IMU) and environments for realistic testing. Generate synthetic data and run large‑scale simulations for algorithm validation. Collaborate with perception, planning, and controls teams to ensure smooth sim‑to‑real workflows.
