Právník/Legal Counsel
We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team in Ostrava (our preferred location) or Prague, Czech Republic.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Legal department and become a trusted partner to the business. You will support a wide range of legal matters across the company, with a strong focus on transport and logistics law, as well as broader areas of civil, corporate, and regulatory compliance.
You’ll advise the Board, Senior Management, HR, and other key stakeholders on both Czech and European legal frameworks, helping the organization navigate complex legal landscapes and make sound, compliant decisions.

What are the main responsibilities of this role?
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice across a wide range of matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transport and logistics-related contracts, and advise on the legal implications of policies, documents, and business proposals.
- Prepare and review supplier’s contracts.
- Deliver and support legal training sessions for business colleagues.
- Manage and instruct external legal advisors and counsel in connection with administrative proceedings, appeals, judicial reviews, and other matters as required.
- Ensure that compliance policies are effectively implemented and adhered to across the business.
- Support business development initiatives from early-stage structuring through to finalization and implementation of customer solutions.
- Monitor legislative developments and ensure stakeholders are informed of relevant changes through training, updates, and guidance materials.
- Advice on the legal implications of business decisions and support their implementation.
- Represent the business unit in communications with state authorities, as required within the scope of legal support.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Legal department and cross-functional teams on the interpretation and application of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Where required, assist in the preparation of submissions and evidence for administrative authorities, regulatory bodies, and courts.
- Provide legal advice in relation to insurance matters and claims management, including handling of loss events, and mitigation of legal and financial risks.
Required Experience?
- University degree in law.
- Czech legislation knowledge.
- 3+ years’ experience in the general legal area with a track record of transport or logistic legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Czech and English language skills.
- German language skills are nice to have.
