Job Summary

The Product Safety & EASA Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with EASA regulatory requirements through structured gap analysis, procedure development, training, and product safety oversight. This role supports EASA readiness for new projects and products by maintaining robust Safety Management System (SMS) processes, regulatory alignment, and effective incident reporting and review mechanisms.

What You Will Do

Regulatory Compliance & Gap Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and gap analyses of applicable EASA requirements, including but not limited to:
  • EASA Regulations, AMC, and GM
  • SMS and Part-IS requirements
  • Identify compliance gaps and define corrective actions to ensure full regulatory alignment.
  • Support EASA readiness activities for new projects, products, or program introductions.

Documentation,  Procedure and Business System Management

  • Develop, update, and maintain manuals, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with EASA and internal requirements.
  • Update Product Safety, SMS, and site procedures as required.
  • Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned with regulatory expectations.

Product Safety & Incident Management

  • Investigate product safety occurrences and concerns.
  • Create and manage PSO (Product Safety Office) Incident Notifications.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain Product Safety Review (PSR) reports.
  • Escalate deviations with potential product safety risk in accordance with internal processes.

Training & Competency Development

  • Develop and deliver regulatory and safety training, including but not limited to SMS Training, EASA Regulatory Training
  • Ensure training content reflects current regulatory requirements and organizational procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement of safety culture through targeted training initiatives.

Stakeholder & Program Support

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for EASA, SMS, and product safety topics.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Quality, Program Management, PSO) to support compliance and readiness objectives.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of evidence and responses.


 Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation, Safety, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years experience in Quality Engineering / QMS roles (or equivalent) within an aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of EASA regulations, including SMS, Part-IS, AMC, and GM.
  • Experience performing regulatory gap analysis and compliance assessments.
  • Familiarity with product safety processes, incident investigations, and PSR development.
  • Experience developing procedures, manuals, and training materials.
  • Prior experience in an aerospace or aviation-regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience leading audits and managing corrective actions
