The Occupational Medicine Paramedic functions as an integral member of the Occupational Medicine team, providing clinical and technical support services in an ambulatory care setting. Working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, and clinic staff, the Paramedic supports the delivery of occupational health services, injury care, regulatory examinations, health screenings, and preventative services.

The Paramedic performs a variety of clinical procedures and diagnostic testing activities within the scope of Ohio paramedic certification and organizational policy. The position promotes efficient clinic operations, quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience.

The Occupational Medicine Paramedic is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of licensed providers. Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories and vital signs, performing occupational health testing and screenings, administering medications and immunizations as ordered, collecting laboratory specimens, assisting with examinations and procedures, and supporting clinic operations. The Paramedic collaborates with providers and clinic staff to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of occupational medicine services.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Unexpired Ohio Paramedic Certification is required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred. Experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
