Night HGV Class 1

Pay Rate: Up to £45,000 OTE - featuring a £36,061.56 base salary with an enhanced 50% shift premium for hours worked between 1am - 5:59am *on target earnings*

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Sunday to Thursday, Nights, 16:00 - 23:00 (candidates must be flexible to work in between those hours)
Location: WIll be based out of Daventry in July

We're now looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• • Carry out trunking operations across multiple sites, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
  • Complete 4–6 scheduled deliveries per night, consistently meeting operational targets and deadlines.
  • Maintain exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Safely operate authorised equipment in line with training, licences, and company procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive daily vehicle checks, promptly reporting any defects to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Immediately report any personnel or equipment-related incidents to the Transport Office, supporting a strong safety culture.
  • Accurately complete all Proof of Delivery (POD) and associated documentation to required standards.
  • Stay in regular communication with the Transport team to ensure smooth coordination and operational efficiency.
  • Carefully check and verify products against manifests, including visual inspections for damage.
  • Consistently adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSW) and meet defined quality standards.
  • Take pride in maintaining vehicle cleanliness and full compliance with company health and safety policies.
  • Proactively report any discrepancies, including excess, shortages, or damaged goods, in a timely manner.
  • Drive safely and efficiently, fully complying with Drivers' Hours regulations and the Working Time Directive.
  • Uphold the highest standards of road safety, always adhering to the Highway Code and all relevant vehicle regulations.
