National Technical Manager
* Role & responsibilities
- Development, implementation and governance of collateral risk frameworks across borrower segments (prime, affordable and deep affordable) and across diversified geographies in India.
- Managing network of third-party valuation agencies across locations (includes periodic/trigger-based review of technical agencies).
- Managing property & project valuations.
- Monitor HPIs and detailed analysis of real estate industry on regular basis.
- System handling in BRE (business rule engine) environment for various collateral policy related requirements.
- Conduct collateral visits, if required, to resolve discrepancies raised in the valuation reports, control vendor quality and to advise on the collateral acceptance.
- Liaison with lenders technical team, their valuers, Government Bodies / Authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Collateral portfolio analysis on regular basis (including portfolio monitoring, deviation analysis, rejection data analysis, TAT, etc.).
- Create & timely update location / hub specific collateral guidelines based on local byelaws, market insights/practices and lenders inputs.
- Building, mentoring and managing high performing team across regions.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and effectively implementing on ground.
- Regular training of underwriting team to ensure qualitative collateral data recording in system and appraisal process.
- Effectively collaborate with business development team during different stages of new lender onboarding.
Preferred candidate profile
- At least 12-15 years working experience with HFC/Bank in mortgage loan valuations (both in affordable and prime borrower segment).
Experience in risk management, policy and process formulation, data analysis, MIS, and reporting.
