Managing Director, Asset Management
Job Summary:
The Managing Director, Asset Management will lead the organisation’s strategic direction in asset management, ensuring high investment performance and sustainable growth. This role involves overseeing portfolio management, client relations, and compliance, while driving innovation and operational excellence. The Managing Director will focus on expanding market presence, optimizing asset performance, and maintaining robust risk management. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement are essential to achieving organisational goals and delivering value to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement asset management strategies aligned with organisational objectives and market opportunities.
- Direct portfolio management, including asset allocation, performance optimization, and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and key stakeholders to ensure transparency and trust.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, fostering ethical and sustainable practices.
- Drive innovation in asset management, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance decision-making.
- Mentor and guide senior management and investment teams to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
- 15–20 years of experience in asset management, finance, or investment banking, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CAIA) is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in portfolio management, asset allocation, and investment strategies across diverse asset classes.
- Exceptional ability to lead, communicate, and negotiate, with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks in the asset management industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive organisational growth, deliver measurable results, and navigate complex market environments.
- Must be willing to relocate
