Sr. Mechancial Design Engineer

The Role:
This position includes taking the owner's responsibility for:
Support internal and external databases to build cost and CO2e assessment models that will establish a design for sustainability.
Review the sustainable solution's feasibility from internal and external, lead the engineering qualification for Logitech PWS products at an ME component level.
Support close technical relationships with suppliers to identify best CO2 saving solutions, including emerging technologies that provide CO2e improvements.
Second source of mechanical-related parts qualification for sustainability.
Communication with other teams is also required to ensure the schedule, cost and performance of the project.

Take ownership and collaborate with other worldwide functions to implement the sustainability material in PWS products.
Debug for the new sustainability material phase in potential issues.Like component level dimensions issue, assembly issue, EVT item failure issue etc.
Finish the 2nd source of ME parts qualification for sustainability
Work with other teams and play a key role in the qualification of new sustainability material.
Analysis, documentation, and testing of mechanical parts & assemblies. Analyze critical areas of design with the use of appropriate analysis tools.
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:
3+ years of experience in mechanical design/development of high-volume consumer electronic products.
Good knowledge of plastic,moldflow analysis, injection tooling, injection molding, assembly process and defect analysis.
Skillfully use 3D modeling and problem-solving skills.
Familiar with the quality tools such as DOE, FMEA, PSS, and Tolerance Analysis.
Good understanding of risk management.
Advanced Knowledge of quality tools such as DFMEA, DFMA, PSS, and Tolerance Analysis.
Taking initiative in the job.
Creative and self-motivated.
Good command of English writing and speaking, and the ability to make a file for presentations.
In addition, skills and behaviors as below could be a plus:
Fluent in English speaking.
Rich experience in moldflow simulation,Injection modeling/tooling and Stamping tooling.
Experience in a foreign-funded company.
Outstanding 3D modeling
Education:
Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in mechanical-related.
