Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all. ========================================================================= TEAM The mission of the Legal & IP team is to drive innovation and help realize a safer mobility society by providing agile, effective legal support and delivering clear, strategic advice in a fast-moving business environment. Our team covers a broad range of legal areas, including export control, privacy & data protection, antitrust, and subcontracting regulations. We partner closely with internal teams and global companies to build innovative collaborations and strategic partnerships. We also play a key role in supporting projects like Woven City — our smart city initiative based in Shizuoka — by providing legal advice, negotiating contracts, and proposing business schemes to management. In 2024, we integrated privacy-related functions from multiple departments into a dedicated privacy team within Legal & IP, enabling us to deliver consistent, high-quality legal services across the organization.
