The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our fully remote team. You will be the first line of defense in maintaining a seamless IT experience across the organization, managing Mac-only endpoints, cloud-based systems, and compliance workflows. This role is critical in ensuring our infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and optimized for productivity. 

While we are a fully remote company, we’re a collaborative team that thrives on in-person connection! You’ll need to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area to join us in the office on an as-needed basis and for team events.

What You'll Do:

🔧Technical Support & Systems Management

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for a fully remote workforce using MacBooks exclusively.
  • Manage and support user accounts, access provisioning, and integrations across:
      - Google Workspaces (SSO-enabled)
      - Office 365
      - Zoom
      - Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
      - GitHub
  • Administer and enforce device security and compliance policies through Kandji MDM and Bitdefender.
  • Handle troubleshooting of hardware, software, VPN (OpenVPN), and cloud service issues.
  • Maintain and document standard operating procedures for IT systems and user support.

🔐 Security & Compliance

  • Support audits and evidence gathering for ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI DSS compliance.
  • Assist in responding to security questionnaires from prospects and partners as part of the sales process.
  • Monitor system logs and alerts to detect and remediate potential threats.
  • Ensure compliance with identity and access management protocols across all integrated platforms.

📊 Process Improvement & Automation

  • Assist in tracking and reporting IT and security metrics for internal review and audits.
  • Identify opportunities for automating manual tasks and improving operational efficiency.
  • Help manage asset inventory, software licenses, and endpoint lifecycle tracking.

🤝 Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with InfoSec, Sales, and Engineering to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand support needs and implement best practices for tooling and security.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and user training materials.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration in a Mac-only, remote-first environment.
  • Hands-on experience with:
      - Google Workspaces admin console & SSO
      - Office 365 suite
      - Zoom admin controls
      - Atlassian (Jira, Confluence)
      - GitHub (user access, integrations, permissions)
      - Kandji or similar MDM solutions
      - Bitdefender or similar endpoint protection tools
      - Scripting or programing language
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
  • Experience assisting with or completing security questionnaires for sales enablement.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $90,000 to $125,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is determined based upon a variety of job related factors that may include: transferable work experience, skill sets, and qualifications. Total compensation also includes a comprehensive benefit package, including: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, unlimited paid time off, generous parental leave plan, and others for mental and wellness support.

While we are a remote-first company, we have opened offices in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area, as an option for those in those cities who wish to work in-person. For all other employees, there is a WFH monthly stipend to pay for co-working spaces.

  • Compensation at Arize is competitive with other Bay Area AI infrastructure startups at a similar funding stage, which means it is structured to be meaningfully better than what large-cap technology companies offer when measured on total expected value, including equity. Cash compensation for engineering roles in the United States typically ranges from approximately one hundred fifty thousand dollars at the early-career level to roughly two hundred forty thousand dollars at staff and principal levels, with senior engineers and tech leads commonly landing in the one hundred ninety to two hundred twenty thousand dollar range depending on location and specialty. Applied AI and research-leaning roles often carry a premium. New York compensation tracks closely with Bay Area bands. Bangalore compensation is benchmarked against the top tier of the Indian market for ML platform talent, which puts Arize at or above the upper range of what competing AI startups and large multinationals pay there. Equity is granted as stock options on a four-year vesting schedule with a one-year cliff, and the size of grants for engineering hires has historically been meaningful enough that early and mid-stage employees have a real stake in the outcome of the company. Specific grant ranges are role-dependent and are best discussed candidly with the recruiter once you have advanced into the loop. Benefits in the United States include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with the company covering a substantial share of premiums, a 401(k) plan, generous parental leave, a flexible paid time off policy, a home office stipend for remote and hybrid employees, learning and development budgets, and reimbursement for relevant conferences and books.
