Advanced Cardiac Imaging scheduling for Cardiac CT & MRI

**Remote: M-F; 8-5**

Pay Range

$20.80 - $31.20

Major Responsibilities:
Accurately collects and analyzes all required demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data necessary to schedule patients for procedures and/or diagnostic testing
1)Schedules patients using established procedure for Interventional and Diagnostic areas.

2)Responsible for accurate data entry.

3)Follows through on obtaining accurate information on all scheduled patients.

4)Collects and documents all third-party payor information for each patient maintaining current knowledge of all payor mechanisms as they relate to the registration process.

5)Generates, assembles and processes all required documents for completion of each scheduled patients including orders, history and physicals and distributes these on a timely basis to both internal and external parties.

6)Follows EMTALA, HIPPA, payor and other applicable regulations and standards for registration

7)Maintains confidentiality of patient records according to HIPAA standards.

8)Monitors work volumes, identifies problems, and notifies management when additional support is necessary.

Accurately Collects and analyzes all required demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data necessary to schedule patients for outpatient interventional and diagnostic procedures
1)Accurately creates appointments in computerized scheduling system, reflecting the patient's schedule preference as closely as possible

2)Reviews with the patient the appropriate preparation instructions ensuring that the testes and/or procedures can accurately be performed on the day of service

3)Maintains the integrity of the electronic scheduling system by processing patient schedule adjustments in a timely manner

4)Identifies the correct resource for clinical questions regarding their scheduled exam and directs the patient

5)Maintains orders received through the Active Fax system

6)Accurately indexes incoming faxed orders from physicians' offices

7)Answers all incoming telephone calls according to established departmental procedures

Participates in departmental training, team building activities, in-services, and activities essential for department operations
1)Contributes to the Continuous Quality Improvement mission by team effort and input.

2)Attends all required departmental in-services and staff meetings.

3)Assists in training new employees as assigned.

4)Assists with flexible work scheduling needs.

Performance of Secretarial and minor administrative services in support of department
1)Schedule and arrange meetings and/or appointments with multiple attendees.

2)Take action upon mail and/or correspondence received by area.

3)Organize special events, secure space, prepare memo and/ or notify participants, arrange for equipment as necessary, assure room set-up, order refreshments, etc.

4)Enter data into database or spreadsheet, perform analyses from data, and create specialized reports.

5)Type letters, memoranda, reports, and other types of correspondence from rough drafts or provided copy

6)Compose correspondence from notes and/or discussions with supervisor and/or staff

Maintenance of department files.
1)Maintain records and files within the department/unit.

2)Create and set up filing systems for department/unit.

Education/Experience Required:

•H.S. or equivalent

•2-4 years secretarial experience OR

•Associates degree and 1-2 years secretarial experience


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
•Shorthand / Dictaphone experience preferred

•Able to use several soft-ware packages

•Ability to create spreadsheets preferred
