The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a HUB Category Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective sourcing strategies. In this impactful position, you will lead assigned spend categories, driving value through strategic procurement while ensuring strong supplier performance and reliable supply continuity.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, aligning sourcing strategies with business goals and supporting initiatives such as bidding, design-to-value, and product innovation. Your ability to analyze market trends, negotiate effectively, and implement forward-thinking strategies will directly influence cost optimization, lead times, and overall supply chain performance.
This role offers the opportunity to lead supplier relationships, champion continuous improvement, and contribute to key projects that enhance quality, reduce risk, and strengthen operational efficiency. With a focus on data-driven decision-making and stakeholder collaboration, you will help build a more agile and competitive supply chain.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
How you'll make an impact
Develop and execute category sourcing strategies
Analyze market trends, spend data, and cost drivers
Lead supplier negotiations and contract management
Ensure alignment between demand, supply, and capacity
Drive cost reduction and risk mitigation initiatives
Manage supplier performance and improvement plans
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders globally
Support strategic projects including R&D and new product introduction
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
7+ years of experience in procurement or category management
Strong understanding of sourcing strategies and supplier management
Proven negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making
Professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM) are a plus
