Research Administration
JOB TITLE:
Graduate Student Per Diem: Research Administration and Finance Student Intern
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Research Administration and Finance Intern is to provide financial analyst support to the research program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Institute has a research financial portfolio of almost 800 million dollars. This internship will support a central core research team in partnership with Finance, Information Systems, Supply Chain, HR and departments on an as needed basis to assist with the review and validation of financial data in Workday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Run a variety of Workday and Peoplesoft financial reports using different prompts to generate data
- Review and analyze budget and expenditures for accuracy in financial reports for validation activities to ensure conversion data from People Soft into Workday is consistent
- Track and log discrepancies in financial data and participate in meetings with research finance staff to review reports and log
- Document steps that can be used for audit purposes
MINIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Enrollment in undergraduate degree program in finance, accounting, business management required. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
