FY26 Intern - Spectrum Engineering Intern – 6G Systems - 6 months, Germany, Italy
Develop system level studies to assess the compatibility between the next generation cellular system and incumbent systems. Develop and analyze coexistence techniques for co-channel operation across different radio access technologies. You are currently enrolled in a Ph.D. or Master's degree course in one of the following majors: Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering. You will be available for 6 Months between March and November 2025. Advanced programming skills in MATLAB/Python are required, skill in other languages (C/C+) is a plus; Organizational, communication and editorial skills in English are required; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to work well in a team environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration. Solid knowledge of radio communication theory and digital signal processing; Basic knowledge of information theory, coding theory, adaptive filtering, signal detection and estimation, optimization theory, machine learning, deep learning theory, networked and mobile computing environments, and their applications to Wireless Communications; Familiarity with design, analysis and simulation of PHY and/or MAC layers, Radio Access Network and/or Core Network design, interference and mobility management in Radio Access Networks, with focus on 3GPP and IEEE radio access standards
