What will you contribute?


Reporting to the CTO the Director Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering will be accountable for managing a cross functional team focused on the technical delivery of the data solutions, and product development. This role includes managing resources using an Agile Methodology, training, recruitment, budgeting and performance management.  The incumbent will have ownership of the technical design, systems analysis, coding, automated unit testing and integration. The Director Director Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering will also liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Program Managers, software engineers/developers and end users regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Your deliverables as a Director Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and inspire senior managers and cross‑functional teams across complex, global delivery environments

  • Define and execute strategy aligned to business and sub‑functional objectives, balancing short‑term results with long‑term growth

  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of critical programs, products, services, and technologies with measurable business and P&L impact

  •  Set priorities, allocate resources, and govern significant investments to maximise performance and value

  • Provide technical and data leadership, guiding architectural decisions across data modelling, warehousing, ETL, and BI platforms

  • Establish and evolve operating standards, delivery processes, and agile methodologies to accelerate high‑quality outcomes

  • Solve complex technical, operational, and organisational challenges, mitigating risk and driving continuous improvement

  • Build, develop, and retain high‑performing global teams, fostering a strong culture of accountability and innovation

  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners and influence senior stakeholders to deliver aligned, enterprise‑wide solutions

Required Experience:
 

  • Extensive experience in senior software engineering or technology leadership roles within enterprise environments

  • People management experience, leading large, distributed, and offshore engineering teams

  • Proven leadership in delivering SaaS and cloud‑based platforms, managing complex initiatives in fast‑paced, agile environments

  • Strong technical foundation, supported by a BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, with a clear technical vision

  • Demonstrated expertise in data architecture, including data modelling, databases, data warehousing, ETL, and BI technologies

  • Track record of delivering software releases on time, on budget, and to quality, defining delivery processes and embedding testability early in the SDLC

  • Ability to operate effectively across time zones, prioritise competing demands, and drive outcomes through cross‑functional collaboration

  • Proven success in hiring, developing, and retaining high‑performing teams, supported by excellent communication and leadership skills
