Financial Analyst / Sr. Analyst-(Experience in Financial Modeling)
Job Role & responsibilities:-
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build, maintain, and enhance detailed financial models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) using InSync's proprietary pre-built model infrastructure and ISTARI platform
- Investment Research & Thesis Development: Work hand-in-hand with portfolio managers and senior analysts at multi-billion-dollar hedge funds to support investment idea generation and thesis construction. Conduct deep-dive fundamental research across sectors, including competitive positioning, industry dynamics, TAM analysis, and unit economics. Monitor and synthesize earnings calls, management commentary, sell-side research, and industry data to maintain a real-time pulse on covered names.
- Data & AI-Driven Workflows
- Client Partnership: Serve as a trusted analytical partner to hedge fund clients, adapting to their investment process and coverage priorities. Deliver timely, high-quality work products including model updates, earnings previews/reviews, and ad hoc analytical projects. Build deep, long-term relationships with client teams and become an integral part of their research workflow.
- Analyzing financial information/statements across various company, sector & sub-industry
- Building and projecting simple/complex financial company models as per standard template or based on client requirement.
- Analyzing and interpreting current and past financial data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Strategic thinking and good presentation skills
- Analyzing and representing results, variances, and trends
- Maintain confidentiality of all official and client information
- Ability to multitask and meet constant client deadlines with responsibility and accountability for quality control and accuracy of deliverables.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualification required:-
- Education: Bachelors degree in engineering or masters degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Preference given to graduates from premier colleges and CFA Charter holders. MBA-Finance
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, financial consulting, or a related analytical role. Exceptional recent graduates will also be considered
- Financial Modeling: Strong proficiency in building and maintaining three-statement financial models in Excel; familiarity with valuation methodologies (DCF, comps, SOTP).
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to synthesize large volumes of financial and qualitative data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
- Technology: High comfort level with Excel (advanced), financial data platforms, and an eagerness to adopt AI-native tools and workflows
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior investment professionals.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and teaming skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and articulation skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Knowledge of Valuations, GAAP/Non-GAAP, M&A concept, etc
- Detail-oriented self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with the team.
- Experience in Financial modelling and projections, including experience in building models from scratch in MS excel with ability to understand and formulate business drivers (revenue, cost etc)
- Capable of working in dynamic & changing environment
- Proficiency in MS excel, word and power point.
- Flexibility to work on multiple time-zones, in line with client requirements.
- Candidate having working experience on different terminals like Bloomberg, FactSet etc will be added advantage.
