Finance Manager Romania

The challenge

As a Finance Manager of Romanian commercial subsidiary, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to local commercial management team.

What you will do

  • Prepare and approve yearly Financial statements according to IFRS and local gaaps for Romanian entity.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for HQ including P&L, BS and cash flow.
  • Manage accounting in coordination of external accounting provider.
  • Be responsible of Tax declaration for direct and indirect taxation, including specific local requirements.
  • Coordinate all activities with external company for Salary calculation and monthly statutory postings.
  • Manage all managerial reporting and ad-hoc analysis related to sales, profitability and regular variance analysis.
  • Manage periodic budgeting and forecasting processes for the legal entity.
  • Strict collaboration with Commercial General Manager and local commercial team to support decision-taking process.
  • Direct management of 2 subordinates.
  • Manage the relation with external stakeholders as auditors, customs, public offices.
  • Handle credit controlling activities, including monitoring customer payment behavior, assessing credit risk, ensuring timely collections, and implementing measures to mitigate overdue receivables.
  • Perform reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable, ensuring alignment between company records and counterparties, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial reporting.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance management role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and Romanian.
