POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance intern will support Finance Operations and Financial Planning as needs arise.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education:
Ongoing education in accounting or finance is a plus, but not required.
Minimum Experience:
No job experience required. Understanding of financial statements and financial forecasting a plus.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to the following departments within Finance Operations and Financial Planning when needed, including ERP implementation, day-to-day functions, and special projects:
Finance Operations:
- General Accounting
- Treasury
- Research Finance
- Payroll
- Special Funds
- Asset Management & Insurance
- Tax
Financial Planning:
- Forecasting & Modeling
- Budget & Financial Analysis
- Revenue & Reimbursement
- Decision Support
- Contracting
- Finance Systems
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Experience with MS suite including excel functions like pivot tables, vlookups, hlookups.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to exercise superior judgment, discretion, interpersonal skills.
