Responsibilities

Alexis M. Farley & Associates, in-house counsel for State Farm, announces a Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Intern Program for the Tempe, Arizona, Claims Litigation Counsel office. Claims Litigation Counsel attorneys defend State Farm and its customers who have been sued. Interns work with attorneys on assigned projects, attend case events, and observe every phase of the litigation process. They benefit from mentoring, gain a balanced and realistic understanding of the function of Claims Litigation Counsel, and develop real-world civil litigation skills. A local candidate would work in a hybrid environment with some required presence in the office.  Remote option will be considered for an out of area candidate.  Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.

Located in Tempe, Arizona, we enjoy an active civil trial practice throughout Maricopa County.  We provide a congenial and team-oriented professional work environment with skilled support staff.


Qualifications

  • Rising 3L student enrolled in an ABA accredited law school.  Intern must remain enrolled for the duration of the internship.
  • Strong academic credentials preferred.
  • Strong research skills including familiarity with Lexis preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Internship Details: 

  • Estimated Start Date:  August 10, 2026
  • Hours:  Monday-Friday, up to 15 hours per week
  • Pay:  $33/hour
  • Work Arrangement: HYBRID - Interns would spend time working from home and some time working in the office.  Please note that relocation benefits will not apply.  Remote option will be considered.
