Position: Facilities Supervisor
Location: Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center; Charlotte, NC.
~Specifically will be responsible for Carolina Rehab and Behavioral Health in Charlotte.
Full Time; 1st shift
~Monday-Friday: 7am-4:30pm
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversees general department operations, establishes work schedules, issues daily work assignments and responds to requests for service. Identifies and addresses all safety issues.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory and accrediting agency standards and guidelines for facilities operations.
- Coordinates construction projects to include communicating scheduled utility interruptions, reviewing specifications and blueprint documents, inspecting quality of installations and repairs, and ensuring that contractual provisions and construction schedules are met and satisfy appropriate standards.
- Ensures timely scheduling and completion of all required inspection, testing and maintenance for facilities’-maintained equipment utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System and related tools.
- Reviews and ensures inspection, testing and maintenance records are properly recorded in appropriate systems.
- Acts as a resource on more complex maintenance issues and provides technical support to architects, engineers, and consultants. Provides direction to outside contractors on critical utility and infrastructure systems.
- Reviews teammate performance and customer satisfaction feedback to ensure expectations are met.
- Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which includes coaching on performance, completes performance reviews and overall teammate engagement. Recommends hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions, and terminations.
- Provides input into needed tools, education, or other support needed to ensure a high level of team engagement and performance.
- Provide primary site Facilities leadership when other leadership is not present or available.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Valid Driver’s License.
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience Required:
- 2 years healthcare facilities experience or 4 years facilities or property maintenance experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Ability to work with minimal oversight with advanced technical skills in facility maintenance.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills required.
- Advanced computer skills/competency required in using and operating systems such as Microsoft Office Platform, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Clear understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.
- Clear understanding of multiple trades and systems and how they interconnect and support the location.
- Comfortable with providing in-person engagement with patients, families and staff to address concerns.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Primary work performed within typical office environment. Must be mobile within all buildings, floors and grounds of the System facilities. Prolonged sitting/desk work.
Preferred Job Requirements

- Trade school certificate.
Preferred Experience
- 3 years healthcare facilities experience or 5 years facilities or property maintenance experience with experience at a lead or senior level.
