Estimated compensation for this position is: $110,000 - $120,000
What this job involves:
JLL is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager with advanced expertise in hard services, critical systems management, and client relationship development. This position is ideal for facilities professionals looking to elevate their career by taking on strategic portfolio management responsibilities while maintaining hands-on oversight of critical building systems. As our Facilities Manager, you'll oversee critical HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems while serving as a key client liaison. You'll report to the Senior Facilities Manager and collaborate closely with both Senior and Regional Facilities Managers to drive operational excellence, strategic planning, and client satisfaction across the portfolio.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Oversee building systems - Manage operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, and building automation platforms, including emergency response and preventive maintenance programs
- Serve as client liaison - Build relationships with key stakeholders, participate in strategic planning sessions, and translate technical issues into clear recommendations for decision-making
- Support capital planning - Assist with long-term facility assessments, infrastructure lifecycle planning, and multi-year maintenance roadmaps across the property portfolio
- Manage budgets and finances - Help develop operating and capital budgets, track expenditures, identify cost savings, and prepare financial reports and variance analyses
- Oversee vendors and contractors - Manage service providers, evaluate performance, negotiate contracts, and coordinate maintenance projects with minimal operational disruption
- Ensure compliance and safety - Maintain all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and operational documentation while driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead and develop teams - Guide engineering and maintenance staff, support training programs, and foster a culture of safety and operational excellence
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of facilities management experience focused on critical building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical)
- Strong knowledge of building systems including chillers, boilers, power distribution, and building automation controls
- Experience managing budgets, capital planning, and vendor/contractor relationships
- Ability to conduct facility inspections in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor areas; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical issues for non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and maintenance management software (CMMS)
- Valid driver's license and availability for on-call rotation to respond to emergencies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP, PE (Professional Engineer), or trade certifications in HVAC/electrical/mechanical
- Multi-site or portfolio facilities management experience
- Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities
- Knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance requirements
- Proven track record in client-facing roles with strong relationship management skills

Estimated compensation for this position:
