Example placements

United States March 26, 2026 Cornerstone Talentlink

All Graduate Finance Analysts undertake a range of placements across the College. The following pages give examples of where a Graduate Finance Analyst might work, but all Analyts take an individual path through the scheme.

There are opportunities for placements in other Departments or Divisions not listed here; the scheme is flexible which enables it to best meet the needs of both the College and the Finance Graduate Analysts.

Placements in specific areas of work cannot be guaranteed but the Scheme Director takes into account the preferences and aspirations of the Analyst when allocating placements where possible.

The successful candidate may also be asked to get involved in other projects outside of their placements to support their development.

How to Get Hired at Imperial College London

  • Apply through imperial.ac.uk/jobs — Imperial's portal lists 60-100+ vacancies at any time across academic, research, and professional support roles, with applications processed through the Cornerstone TalentLink ATS.
  • The supporting statement is the most critical element of your application. Map it directly to the person specification criteria — shortlisting panels score applications point-by-point against essential and desirable criteria, and unmapped criteria lead to rejection.
