Functions as an integral member of the patient care unit team as well as with other patient care and supportive services that are directed towards achievement of patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in the plan of care, improving service levels, reducing the length of stay, and decreasing costs. Provides nursing care to patients with ostomies and/or skin problems using specialized nursing knowledge and clinical expertise. Serves as a resource person for the patients, family, health care team members, and community at large; Coordinates the nursing plan of care of patients with fecal and urinary diversions, wounds, drains, skin care problems and incontinence.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing; Current Ohio RN license; Bachelor's degree in Nursing or shows evidence of continuing work toward a Bachelor's; Successful completion of an approved program of Enterostomal Therapy is required; Minimum of 18 months nursing experience in an acute care setting;
