The Digital Content Creator is responsible for conceptualising, creating, and producing engaging multimedia content across all digital platforms. This role combines creative storytelling with strategic thinking to develop original content that drives audience engagement, builds brand communities, and supports overall brand objectives.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce original, high-quality content across multiple formats, including written posts, graphics and videos.
  • Create platform-native copy optimised for each channel and brand’s unique audience behavior and technical requirements.
  • Transform existing print content into engaging digital formats suitable for digital consumption.
  • Produce real-time content that capitalises on trending topics, current events, and cultural moments relevant to the brand.
  • Collaborate with designers and creative teams to ensure the overall content meets brand standards and platform best practices.
  • Contribute to content calendar development with fresh, innovative ideas that achieve brand objectives and drive engagement.
  • Research and identify content opportunities that align with brand values, audience interests, and business goals.
  • Ensure all copy aligns with brand voice and tone.
  • Optimise content for discoverability using relevant hashtags, keywords, and platform-specific SEO techniques.
  • Adapt content based on platform performance data and audience feedback.
  • Create content that encourages audience participation, user-generated content, and community building.
  • Monitor content performance and audience responses to inform future content decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in languages, arts, journalism or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a digital content creator.

Skills & Competencies

  • Fluent in English with excellent grammar and spelling skills.
  • Strong general knowledge and active interest in current affairs, culture and lifestyle content.
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for fashion, beauty, lifestyle and pop culture.
  • High level of creativity and editorial versatility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, social media platforms and content management systems such as WordPress.
  • Solid understanding of editorial principles and journalism ethics.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to team success.
