Your role on the team involves implementing the advanced DC-DC power designs for Apple’s next generation Mac platforms covering portable, desktop and server systems, and other future Mac products.

Description

As a DC-DC power system designer, you will be driving innovative power circuit designs and system level partitioning from initial concept investigations, to design execution, and through successful product manufacturing.

Minimum Qualifications

Electrical / Computer engineering degree with >5 years of relevant work experience, e.g. in consumer and server electronics or semiconductor companies. Understanding single- and multi- phase DC-DC regulators, control loops, passive components, operating modes, thermals, efficiency and fault protection functions. Experienced in power circuit design, simulations, functionality and performance validation, test automation, issue debug, PCB schematic and layout. Occasional travel in the US and overseas to provide factory or vendor support.

Preferred Qualifications

Highly motivated, self-starter, able to work well with multi-functional teams in dynamic work environment. Code development skills, e.g. Python, Matlab, Math Cad. Experience with multi-channel power management integrated circuits. Experience with high-current data-center rack power distribution Background in analog, digital or power integrated circuit design. Experience with digital hardware design such as microcontrollers and digital interfaces (such as I2C, SPI, SPMI, etc)
