Job Description

The team
The GBS Data Analytics team partners across all business groups to deliver data-driven insights to the leadership. We use an industry leading combination of data visualization and data analytics to blend extensive amounts of data into digestible and actionable information, giving leaders and associates information they need to make tactical and strategic decisions. Operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, the team combines strong technical execution with strategic problem-solving to move beyond reporting into actionable, decision-oriented insights.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Data Engineer to join the GBS Data Analytics team. This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end analytics solutions that support workforce planning, hiring strategy, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will operate as a thought partner to business stakeholders while technically adept in maintaining pipelines and dashboards, translating ambiguous business problems into structured data solutions and generating actionable insights that influence decision-making at leadership levels.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics Delivery & Execution
Own end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions including data extraction, transformation, analysis, and visualization
Develop and maintain dashboards/reporting across key domains
Build scalable data pipelines and python automations to ensure data integrity across multiple enterprise data sources
Stakeholder Engagement & Problem Solving
Partner with Finance, HR, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to define business requirements
Translate stakeholder asks into structured analytical frameworks and measurable outputs
Data Management & Automations
Design, maintain and automate robust data pipelines while performing data cleaning, validation, and data transformation
Identify gaps in data and work with upstream teams to improve data availability and reliability
Cross-Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive alignment on data definitions and reporting standards
Identify process improvement opportunities and automate repeatable workflows
Contribute to scaling analytics capabilities within the team and mentoring junior analysts
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a business analyst role or a related occupation, with a focus on data pipeline building, process improvement using automations, and building Tableau/PowerBI dashboards
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, R or Python
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Strong verbal and written skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and facilitate collaboration between IT and business teams
  • Ability to balance and execute multiple complex data projects simultaneously, adjusting to evolving business priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality outcomes
  • 4+ years of strong SQL, and R or Python skills with the ability to learn other analytic tools or cloud-based platforms
  • 4+ years of experience in data-centric environments, managing data products (e.g., dashboards or reports) end to end; Strong understanding of data warehouse/lake concepts, including data pipeline design and data modeling
  • Proven skills of data management (data cleaning, data transformations, and data validation), advance analytics and visualizations with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets, derive insights, and translate them into actionable business decisions
