Job Description

A dedicated group to support, extend, and modernize our metadata-driven financial reporting data integration platform. Currently 80+ source applications processing 200M+ rows/day/app on Oracle PL/SQL. Potential migration to AWS Databricks (PySpark/Python) over 2027.

Core Skill Combination

  • Oracle PL/SQL engineering: dynamic SQL, partitioned tables, performance tuning, restartable processes

  • Production discipline: rerun safety, parity validation, ops handoff documentation

  • Problem Solving: Ability to validate data results and debug transformation issues effectively

Beneficial Disciplines

  • Modern data engineering: Databricks, PySpark, AWS S3

  • Banking domain fluency: Average Daily Balancing math, General Ledger structure, managerial ledger, Month to date accumulation, COBOL legacy deconstruction.

  • COBOL literacy — framework replicates legacy mainframe X7IC2x and X9AVGxx programs exactly

  • Banking product knowledge — Average daily balancing, interest accruals, split record behavior, etc.

  • Dynamic SQL → Python translation skill (critical for Databricks migration)
