Who are we looking for

We are now looking for a savvy Commerce Architect to join our team of commerce heroes!

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve the architecture of Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions — SFRA and PWA Kit / Composable Storefront — to ensure high performance, scalability, and resilience under peak retail load.
  • Architect and optimize digital commerce platforms end-to-end: storefront, OCAPI/SCAPI integrations, Open Commerce APIs, Page Designer, Einstein for Commerce
  • Develop and maintain architecture documentation covering cartridge structure, site/realm topology, data model, integration patterns, and deployment pipelines.
  • Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across the SFCC SDLC — from sandbox development through staging and production replication.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams working in SFRA, ISML, SFCC Script, and Node.js / React (PWA Kit / Composable Storefront).
  • Review and approve technical designs and code (cartridges, jobs, hooks, OCAPI/SCAPI hook scripts) to ensure adherence to Salesforce B2C Commerce best practices and governance.
  • Partner closely with merchandising, marketing, and business stakeholders to understand commerce, catalog, pricing, promotion, and customer experience requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs aligned to the SFCC reference architecture and the Salesforce Well-Architected framework.
  • Stay current with the SFCC roadmap (release notes, Composable Storefront, Headless Commerce, Agentforce for Commerce) and the wider Salesforce platform.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives — performance budgets, Core Web Vitals, code quality, CI/CD via SFCC CLI and sfcc-ci, and automated testing.
  • Participate in project planning, sizing, and estimation, including realm/sandbox strategy and release cut-over planning.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks: quota limits, indexing windows, replication cycles, third-party integration failure modes, PCI scope, and peak-season readiness.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices for cartridges, controllers, models, ISML templates, and SCAPI extensions.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization — caching strategy (page, partial, remote include, CDN), Search Index optimization, custom object usage, and storefront Core Web Vitals.
  • Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation: solution blueprints, integration diagrams, data flows, and decision records (ADRs).
  • Prepare and present technical reports, architecture reviews, and roadmap presentations to client stakeholders and internal leadership.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud in pitches, RFPs, discovery workshops, and client delivery.

Key skills:

  • Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud Architect — SFRA,
  • PWA Kit / Composable Storefront,
  • Page Designer,
  • OCAPI/SCAPI,
  • Einstein for Commerce, with working knowledge of MuleSoft,
  • Data Cloud, and the broader Salesforce Customer 360 platform.
