About the role
Ventia is seeking dedicated Cleaners to join our Defence Base Services team at the Albury Wodonga Military Area. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining high-quality environments across Defence facilities. We are recruiting for General, Commercial, and Periodical Cleaning positions across a wide range of sites, including accommodation quarters, the Army hospital, office spaces, cinemas, and warehouses.
What’s on Offer
- A mix of both full-time permanent positions and casual positions!
- Hourly rate for permanent full-time: $26.24 + superannuation
- Hourly rate for casual: $26.24 + 25% casual loading + superannuation
- Ventia have been awarded a 6-year Defence Base Services contract with opportunity for further extension

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Perform and oversee daily site cleaning tasks across designated areas
- Execute cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and bathroom sanitation
- Restock bathroom and cleaning supplies as needed
- Monitor and maintain cleaning stock levels and place orders when required
- Ensure all areas are kept clean, safe, and respectful for personnel and visitors
About You
- Proven previous experience in Cleaning
- Skilled in using and maintaining cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of safe cleaning agents and disinfectants
- Familiar with waste disposal and recycling protocols
- Hold a current Australian Driver's License & own transport to drive across sites.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check.
