Job Overview 

Job Summary


The Claim Manager leads and oversees the end-to-end claim management process, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery across markets. The role manages and develops the Claim Analyst team, establishes performance standards, and ensures all damage cases are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with contractual and transport regulation requirements. The Claim Manager coordinates cross-functional and cross-border collaboration, ensuring clear communication, timely dispute resolution, and proper financial handling of claims, including invoicing, purchasing, and cash recovery. By monitoring KPIs, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement, the role strengthens process reliability and ensures completeness and integrity of claim files. Additionally, the Claim Manager contributes to strategic decision-making within the Damage Committee by providing insights, identifying trends, and recommending corrective or preventive actions. 
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Claim Analyst team, ensuring capability growth and operational oversight.
  • Set performance KPIs, monitor execution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end claim management processes including administrative, financial, and regulatory components.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and contractual requirements across markets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-border collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review complex or time-sensitive cases, making sound managerial decisions.
  • Drive workflow optimization and best-practice standardization.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, purchasing, and cash recovery for claims.
  • Lead dispute handling, negotiations, and mediation at managerial level.
  • Represent the function in committees and senior-level cross-functional meetings.
  • Provide insights and trends to the Damage Committee to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Logistics, Finance, Law, or related field.
  • Experience leading and developing operational teams.
  • Strong understanding of claim management including administrative, financial, and regulatory aspects.
  • Experience in multi-market or cross-border operations.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Skills & Abilities

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Comfortable working with claim management systems and workflow tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making capability, especially for complex cases.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset and continuous improvement orientation.
  • Strong ownership and accountability for results.
