Capability Building Manager

Mexico City March 2, 2026 Full Time Phenom

Be a part of a revolutionary change

At PMI, we’ve chosen to do something incredible. We’re totally transforming our business and building our future on one clear purpose – to deliver a smoke-free future.

With huge change, comes huge opportunity. So, wherever you join us, you’ll enjoy the freedom to dream up and deliver better, brighter solutions and the space to move your career forward in endlessly different directions.

If you’re a forecaster and forward-thinker, you can make a huge impact, creating sales strategies across all markets. But, here, your innovation will do more than just improving sales. You’re not persuading someone to savings account or try a new drinks brand.

Your ‘day to day’:
Lead the design, construction, alignment, and deployment of the critical commercial capabilities required across multi‑category teams to maximize performance in a fast‑changing environment. Ensure the organization builds the skills, methodologies, tools, and mindset needed to anticipate trends, execute with excellence, and adapt quickly to evolving consumer, market, and portfolio dynamics. This role acts as the Capability Architect for the commercial organization, connecting strategy, insights, instructional design, commercial execution, data, and people development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Capability Architecture - Map responsibilities, performance expectations, and skill requirements across commercial roles.
  • Identify current and future skill gaps based on market shifts, digital acceleration, consumer trends, channel evolution, and category needs.
  • Design a Commercial Capability Framework ensuring clarity, strategic alignment, and multicategory consistency.
  • Capability Innovation & Future Skills - Monitor global trends and best‑in‑class capability practices within and outside FMCG. Transform business insights into tangible learning needs and capability solutions.
  • Instructional Design & Modern Learning Methodologies - Select and apply up‑to‑date methodologies (microlearning, mobile learning, simulations, learning journeys, AI‑powered coaching, blended learning). Design learning solutions focused on measurable, applicable, scalable and sustainable impact.

    What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in phycology, education, pedagogy, business, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG, Commercial, Trade Marketing, Capability Building, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Instructional Design.
  • English and Spanish proficiency
