Job Summary
SummaryResponsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cafeteria, ensuring that all food production and service activities are carried out efficiently and in compliance with health and safety regulations. This role coordinates with kitchen staff, ensures the quality and consistency of meals, and maintains a clean and organized cafeteria environment.

Essential Functions
-Coordinate and oversee all cafeteria activities, including food preparation, cooking, and service, to ensure smooth operations.
-Monitor food production and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
-Train, guide, and supervise cafeteria staff, including cooks, food service workers, and cashiers.
-Assign duties and responsibilities to cafeteria personnel and ensure they understand and follow standard operating procedures.
-Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies and place orders as needed.
-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and preparation techniques.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Foodservice Management preferred

Experience
Kitchen Experience 5-7 years required and Supervisory Experience 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe development, and portion control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficient in computer applications related to inventory management and menu planning.
