Business Development Specialist (Exp. in B2B SaaS sales in US Market)
Job role & responsibilities:-
We are looking for a driven and resourceful Business Development Representative who will play a pivotal role in building pipeline, engaging prospects, and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and sales leadership to accelerate growth.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
- Execute multi-channel outbound campaigns including cold calling, cold emailing (using leads from IPREO), and LinkedIn outreach to generate qualified meetings and pipeline.
- Research target accounts and key decision-makers to craft personalized, high-converting outreach sequences.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for meetings booked, pipeline generated, and opportunities created.
- Email Communication & Messaging
- Write compelling, concise, and personalized emails for cold outreach, follow-ups, nurture campaigns, and internal communications.
- A/B test subject lines, messaging angles, and calls to action to continuously improve open and reply rates.
- Collaborate with marketing to refine email templates, drip campaigns, and inbound follow-up sequences.
- CRM & Technology (HubSpot)
- Manage and maintain a clean, organized HubSpot CRM with accurate contact records, deal stages, activity logging, and pipeline data.
- Build and manage workflows, sequences, and automated tasks within HubSpot to streamline prospecting efforts.
- Generate reports and dashboards in HubSpot to track KPIs, pipeline health, and campaign performance.
- Revenue Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the sales and marketing team to align on ideal customer profiles, lead scoring criteria, messaging, and campaign execution.
- Develop and refine SDR outreach strategies including cadence design, channel mix, and persona-based messaging frameworks.
- Support trial management by guiding prospects through product trials, tracking engagement, and ensuring timely follow-up to convert trials into closed-won deals.
- Contribute to deal structuring by collaborating with sales leadership on pricing, packaging, and contract terms that meet both customer needs and revenue targets.
Key Skills, Experience & Qualification required:-
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or a related revenue-generating role within a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
- Hands-on proficiency with HubSpot CRM, including contact management, deal pipelines, sequences, workflows, and reporting.
- Strong written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write effective cold emails, follow-up sequences, and professional correspondence.
- Comfort and confidence with cold calling, including the ability to handle objections, build rapport quickly, and qualify prospects over the phone.
- Experience contributing to marketing initiatives, SDR strategy, trial/pilot management, and deal structuring.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- HubSpot Sales Hub certification or advanced HubSpot training.
- Experience with sales engagement platforms such as Outreach, Salesloft, or Apollo.
- Familiarity with product-led growth motions, free trial funnels, or usage-based deal models.
- Background in building or scaling an SDR function from the ground up.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams.
